Meet the Team
Meet Jake, a tech enthusiast with a creative edge and a heart for adventure!
Unlike many in the industry, Jake was the tech enthusiast of the family. The youngest of four siblings who all pursued different paths, his interest in technology was entirely self-made. As a child, he loved reading, but it was video games that truly captivated him - not just for the fun, but for the immersive storytelling.
Beyond his passion for software, Jake is a creative at heart. He produces original music (an experimental mix of instrumental, hip-hop, and electronic sounds) using beats and melodies to express emotions without words. He finds music to be his personal form of meditation and relaxation. His curiosity also extends to investigative journalism and on-the-ground documentaries, where he enjoys uncovering the deeper stories behind major events.
When he’s not working or creating, you’ll likely find him outdoors - hiking through the countryside or even taking a chilly swim in winter (his last one was this November!). He embraces nature and the thrill of stepping outside his comfort zone. One of his biggest personal goals is a trip to “the frozen end of the world” - Antarctica - a dream he’s actively planning and saving for. Overcoming his fear of flying was just the first step in his journey of self-challenge.
Closer to home, his compassionate side shines through in his work with stray cats. What started with a few friendly strays approaching him turned eventually into an ongoing community effort, and he now helps feed and care for them, finding fulfilment in giving back to his community.

People want a website, app or system built and I make it for them.
Playing Flash games with my siblings and doodling in MS Paint. We had this big white desktop computer with Windows Me on it that the whole family shared. Whenever the power went out my family used to chat with others on mIRC over DSL internet to see if anyone else lost power.
Pretty much, yes. I was always drawn to technology and wanting to know how to use it to its fullest extent. When it came to choosing which subjects I wanted to study it was really a no-brainer.
I wake up, get ready, sometimes feed the stray cat colony near my house, work, and then after work I usually go on walks. In my free time, on weekends, I love swimming, hiking and hammocking - being around nature.
Speak to it calmly and sometimes the computer will do what you actually want it to.
I try to not have heroes. People are fallible and it’s easy to idolise someone for their successes, only for them to turn out to be horrible people later on.
I was on the job hunt after graduating with my degree when our recruiter Karen messaged me on LinkedIn. I only knew of the company because my friend and coursemate Ethan worked here. I applied and had a pretty smooth interview process. When I got the job offer it was a very easy “yes” from me.
I had to write an automation for one of our teams. I had a few challenges and there were a lot of moving parts that had to fit together. It was an uphill battle, but when I actually got it to work without any hiccups I felt on top of the world.
It’s super laid back. We always have funny lunch chats, and everyone here is really welcoming.
Great question. I never pictured myself working in anything other than tech. But I love making music and I’m a half-decent audio engineer so I might have gone into that. I love photography and was always fascinated by documentaries which focus on the oft-ignored tales in society, so I would’ve dipped my feet into documentary-making.
